Who We Are
Townhoppers was founded in the summer of 2004; the company was started by a mixture of Canadian and Japanese partners. We felt there was a definite need to do something different from the competition; our team feels that with this particular mixture of Japanese and Canadian partnership that all angles will be looked at and from both Eastern and Western points of views. We are involved in this particular type of business because of our extensive knowledge of this industry and the culture that drives the industry. Our team knows what students want and what kind of information they thirstily need.
We are flexible, innovative, responsive and entrepreneurial organization. We have structured our businesses around the needs of our customers and provide only those central services which are essential to the growth and education of our company and our customers.
Throughout our research we have found that many agencies elicit customers, mainly international students, for their programs whether being for ESL reasons or other, they in turn bring them to this country, enroll them in one of the many ESL schools in the GTA and then, in most cases forget about them. In the cases of the ESL schools their role in this is simple; they provide English classes and many follow through with this service but after school many of these international students are literally out in the cold.
It is townhoppers intent to change this by providing after school services to accommodate these international students and visitors. We are committed to providing a stimulating, challenging and safe environment and strive to offer the highest quality service available worldwide. We take pride in presenting all our services with a distinctly Canadian flavour, to ensure participant will return home with memories that last a lifetime. For some companies, service is an afterthought. It's something that occurs long after the sale, and only when necessary. At townhoppers, however, service is the impetus behind everything we do and everything we offer, from the very moment our partnership with you begins.
Our Strategy
A clearly defined strategy guides townhoppers daily actions; being that most of our clients circle the globe, this means our team must be innovative and creative in many ways to stay fresh and new, providing ideas that will fascinate our potential customers while keeping them intrigued .
Our basic business plan is to provide events and facilities to promote an understanding and appreciation of Canadian culture and offer this to international visitors of different heritages and backgrounds. Our team will provide facilities and create an atmosphere which will reflect a diverse community and enable our members to make new friends and share common interests. Our aspirations are to also provide a place of learning where visitors may be inspired to learn about the many facets of our unique cultures. However it is not our intention to create another ESL School, but our plans are to create different places where these international students and visitors may be inspired to learn culture from all over the world, we feel that this concept represents Toronto to the fullest.
Our Society
We recognize the importance of service to society and contribute positively to the communities in which we operate. Our business is conducted in accordance with the law, and stated corporate and societal standards of conduct.
This statement is an expression of our mission and shared values, the achievement of which is an ongoing challenge and a never-ending process. It requires us to respond effectively to an ever-changing environment. It requires pragmatism and dreams, courage and confidence, trust and commitment. It is our Quest for Excellence.
